Hump Day Happiness – the Anniversary edition
Hello Wednesday, you have been long and a little lacking in your attitude today, but at least you are here. At last. Welcome to Hump Day, the top of the hill, the downward slide to the weekend. The time of the working week when the mantra fast becomes two more days, just two more days as we wait for Friday knock off time.
Hump Day is the time of the week I like to look back over the past seven days and think about what made me smile, or laugh, or happy. It’s time to reflect on the happy amidst the busy and stressful lives we all lead. The bad stuff? That’s easy to dwell on, so on Hump Day I think about the good stuff and remind myself that the happy has been there all along.
This week, it has to be said, has been a big week, with lots of family focus. So then here are my three then it’s over to you.
Today is our wedding anniversary. We’ve been married fifteen years today. In our usual style, we forgot. The went about celebrating by Hubby heading to work in the home office at 8am and me heading to work with an unwell Blue Eyed Boy tagging along. Just as it should be.
On the weekend my parents were over from Tassie. They brought with them my niece. We inducted her to football at Etihad and spent time in China Town and did some shopping. I loved watching my kids and their cousin together, they are so close. I loved spending time with Mum and Dad and seeing my two talk and spend time with their grandparents. Nothing special or out of the ordinary, just time, chatting, laughing, being.
A hand written note from The Green Eyed Girl to me saying Get Well Soon. Have a lovely Day xxx. I am, and I did.
So, that’s my happy for the week.
Now over to you.
What has made you happy this week? What made you smile?
Happy Hump Day!

Listening to Bianca on the radio. My three and their ‘shows’. Skype. Being chilled. I am feeling chilled. It’s nice.

Firstly…love that pic! The mugs are SO CUTE! You always have nice pics on your blog.
This week has been a bit challenging, I have to say, but I’m still finding some happiness!
I love that I was my silly self on my vlog last week, and people found it fun – not WEIRD! Because I’m silly, and I have to be that way. I love life, and I’m here to enjoy it and everyone’s responses made me happy.
So lucky to have so many supportive people on the interwebs.
Happy (now belated) Anniversary! xxx

happy anniversary to you…and I have to say i love that you received a hand written note from your Green Eyed Girl – should be more of these in the world!
I am STILL smiling today because of the following little incident that happened on saturday – i went to the markets for “just one thing” and ended up trying to balance eggs, two loaves of bread, a little bag of musk sticks and something else (clearly was very important as now have no idea what it was)…I was stumbling about, barely able to see over the top of my olive bread when a lady stopped me in my path. She told me not to move another step – she rushed off and was back 3 seconds later with a plastic bag. She then took everything out of my hands and packed it for me, handed me the bag and gave me a smile.
Such a little thing – but it really felt huge at the time

Happy anniversary! Sounds like you’ve had a lovely family-ish week.
I’m smiling because the worst part of this week is well and truly over. Thank god, now I have some time to relax, drink tea and spend hours reading blogs

Congratulations on your anniversary … Even though you forgot I hope you got to have a drink or cuppa together to enjoy the special day. Sounds like a great weekend with the family.

I’m SO in love with the cups!!! Happy anniversary!!!! What made me happy this week was when my husband called me a bad wife. Seriously. I hadn’t thought about dinner until he came home and asked about it…and he said “Come here you bad wife,” and gave me the biggest, sweetest hug…That made me happy because I’m not perfect and he can still love me…who would have thought??
