Hump Day Happiness
So, here we are again, like clockwork the days have gone by and once again Wednesday is here. Hump day. The middle of the working week. Monday-itis has come and gone, Tuesday, with it’s nothing to see here-ness and finally, Wednesday with it’s hump arrives. Not a moment too soon.
This is the day I like to look back over the past seven days and think of three positive things. Something that has made me smile, laugh, be happy. It doesn’t have to be a big thing. Often it is far from that. But it is my way of reminding myself that there is always something good. The bad stuff is easy to dwell on… let’s think of the good for a while.
The smile on the face of a mother when we finally communicated via a bilingual worker. I wrote about it here. It really was wonderful.
Homemade pizza and a well loved Harry Potter movie, snuggled on the couch with the kids.
Blue sky and the last day of Autumn.
So, there you go. A little bit of happy. What gave you a lift, a smile, made you laugh this week? Happy hump day!

here here to blue sky & 19C today in melbourne!
its been a tough week sleep wise….yes i know why they use sleep deprivation as a form of torture, i have been grumpy, short tempered & teary all because of not enough sleep in the past weeks/months. So here are my few happy’s that i had to think about…but i found them & i thank you for your wed post that helps me remember them!
- also blue skies, sunshine & lots of walks
- a visit to 3 different parks w a friend to watch our toddlers play & debrief (its my saviour right now)
- finishing a good novel
Enjoy your week Nay

Homemade pizza + Harry Potter + couch = the perfect trifecta.
I’m happy this hump day because I get to spend a quiet afternoon at home watching movies after a busy morning at work. The grey and yucky weather makes it a perfect day to do nothing.
Enjoy the rest of your week! xxx

Sunshine – bright light and warmth:)
Breakfast at the breakfast bar this week that we’ve been walking past for the nine weeks waiting for the kitchen to be finished – it keeps us all together in the mornings.
My girls teasing their father with online pictures of furry friends they’d like to bring home from animal shelters (yes I am helping them along!). We have been pet free for nearly four weeks now since our last aged feline died and that needs to change soon

- Presley the kitten is growing into awkward-skinny-long-legged young cat stage…very funny to watch him tease Ollie the dog…
- Hubby got the shortest haircut ever (almost shaved)…facing the fact that his hairline is receding with style. Very sexy
- Regaining my energy after a virus that really knocked me about…woke up this morning wanting to exercise!

I love your Harry Potter moment, nothing like a nice long visit to Hogwarts on a cold rainy afternoon. Three moments for me: discovering that I prefer the beach in winter, I finally have come to terms with the fact that I will never be a suntanned, lie about in the sand all day in the blistering heat sort of person. I like cold, wintery trips to the coast: big jumpers, scarves and a bit of beach combing. Lovely. Sharing a homemade brownie with the boys for morning tea. And a cheeky glass of wine with a couple of girlfriends last night…
