Hump Day Happiness
Hump day is the middle of the working week. It signals the top of the hill, the downward slide to the weekend. This is the time of the week when I look back over the past seven days and think about what made me happy. It’s a little bit of positive in the busy and somewhat stressful world we all live in.
The bad stuff is easy to dwell on. On hump day I like to think about the good stuff and remember that sometimes the happy has been there all along. I try to think of three things from the past seven days that have brought a smile or a little sunshine into the week. The past week was jam packed. Full of big moments, so apologies for the following over indulgent blog!
So then here is my happy…
Wearing a favourite dress for a night out with friends in the city, food, bubbly, Paul Kelly… lovely, lovely night.
The Blue Eyed Girl’s birthday… my baby is 10! How did that happen?
A weekend filled with family, including Hubby’s Mum, friends, and the city, capped off with a meal in a Chinese restaurant. Yum.

Here are mine -
1. Talking to 7yos about pet names – and I learnt of a goldfish named Rosie! A less likely fish name I cannot imagine
2. Looking out through out laundry window (currently our temporary kitchen) to see sunshine glinting on gumleaves moving in the wind – I love it.
3. Watching my offsprings’ ongoing enthusiasm towards our ongoing renovation – they are collecting samples of old/new bench, tile, wood etc – a tangible history project to them.
Enjoy the tail end of the week,
Stephanie

I saw the FB photos of you having such a lovely time with friends, and I was so happy for you. There is nothing like fun with friends to help you to remember what it was like before motherhood, if only for a little while.
My HDH:
Today, when I dropped off Mstr5 at his classroom, I gave him a hug and a kiss and said “I love you.” He said “I love you too, see you later”, and moved towards the rest of his class who were starting to sing a song. As I was just about to go out the door, he came running up to me and said, “Just one more please” and gave me a big hug and a kiss. I’ve been having a bad couple of days and it made me feel just that much better.

So precious when kids do that. Sometimes I think they just know we need it. Hope your week gets better.

Today was a good day. I fit into a pair of jeans one size smaller. I got respite approved for my kid so I can actually go out to dinner and stuff like other adults. And I got to scream at someone at Centrelink.
HUZZAH!

Great news on respite. And really, what’s not to love about screaming at someone at centrelink?

2. Watching my daughter take little steps & a few more & a few more….with a big smile
3. A long weekend with Hubbie – Gymbaroo & a trip to the pool
Now can this week bring more sleep please!
